In this article, we profile the 30 best online bachelor’s in information technology degree programs at some of the nation’s top-ranked institutions.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, computer and information technology occupations are among the best careers to pursue with respect to job growth and salary. The projected job growth between now and the year 2024 is expected to expand by 12 percent. This means that nearly 500,000 new jobs may be added to the information technology and computer science job market. Interestingly, many entry-level jobs that require a bachelor’s degree in information technology pay higher than the national average.

We reviewed 211 accredited colleges and universities listed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES College Navigator) that offered online bachelor’s information technology or closely related degree programs. From this initial list we narrowed our pool to regionally and nationally ranked schools/online bachelor’s degree programs recognized by publications like The Princeton Review and U.S. News and World Report. We then listed the 30 most affordable of these schools, with the number one spot going to the most affordable program.
