In this article, we profile the 20 best and most affordable online bachelor’s in electrical engineering degree programs at accredited colleges and universities for 2017-2018.

According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the United States Department of Labor – Bureau of Labor Statistics, electrical and electronics engineering jobs pay well and offer security. Entry-level careers require bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering or closely related programs. Employers value practical experience, which means that in addition to education, work experience is a must. Thankfully, colleges and universities offer online degree programs that allow students to work while going to school.

We reviewed 119 accredited institutions listed by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES College Navigator) that offered online bachelor’s in electrical engineering or closely related programs. We then checked to see which schools had received rankings from major publications like U.S. News and World Report or Forbes magazine. We selected regionally and nationally ranked colleges and universities with these rankings. We then listed the schools in order of affordability and chose the 20 most affordable institutions.
