There are no traditional engineering degree programs at Bellevue University. However, some of the degree programs offered through the Science and Information Technology Departments require knowledge of engineering. They may apply engineering principles.

About Bellevue University

In 1966, Bill Brooks, a member of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce in Nebraska, led the charge to start an institute of higher learning. The town was growing rapidly with the Offutt Air Force Base needing highly-trained individuals. Brooks was given five minutes to speak at a Chamber meeting, but his presentation lasted 30 minutes due to the interest from members. One year after that meeting, Bellevue College began. Since the school opened, it has established itself as a world leader in educating adults. It was also the first school to offer an online Master of Business Administration. Today, there are more than 48,000 alumni. Nearly 10,000 students are enrolled each year. The university offers over 70 degrees in career fields that are growing rapidly worldwide.

Bellevue University Accreditation Details

Bellevue University holds regional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. This means that the university agrees to periodic voluntary reviews to confirm that students are receiving the highest quality education. It also indicates that Bellevue University has the resources to meet their goals and objectives. They also agree to address any areas that need improvement. Many programs throughout the university are also accredited by industry-specific agencies and associations.

Bellevue University Application Requirements

To attend Bellevue University, students must complete an application as well as official high school transcripts. Students who have earned college credits must provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. If the student has not completed an associate’s degree at another university, they must also provide official high school transcripts. Only courses in which the student has earned a “C” or better are transferable. Graduate students must complete an online application. They must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in their last 60 credits. Doctorate applicants must have a master’s degree or higher. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended must be provided. The the student must have at least five years’ experience. Students must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in all graduate-level work to apply for doctoral programs. A 1,000-word statement of interest is also required. A letter of nomination from an employer along with a letter of recommendation from a personal reference must be provided as well.

Bellevue University Tuition and Financial Aid

Undergraduate tuition is $298 per credit hour for campus classes and $415 for online courses. Students who attend on Offutt Air Force Base pay $250 per credit hour. Graduate tuition is $575 per credit hour and doctorate courses are $750 per credit hour. Financial aid is available. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which must be renewed each year. Students may be eligible for :
