About Crown College

Crown College has been providing a biblical education to students for over 100 years. In 1916, it was founded as the Alliance Training Home. Its name was changed to Crown College in 1992. Today, Crown offers over 40 accredited degree majors through:

With approximately 1,300 students from 20 countries, Crown introduces residential students an to a wide range of cultures. The student/faculty Crown is 14:1. Students can expect small, intimate classes and excellent instruction. Crown is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination of Christianity. It represents over 13,000 churches in more than 80 countries around the world.

Crown College Accreditation Details

Crown College is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). It has been approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. The HLC has accredited Crown to grant associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees to students of the online and residential colleges. The CCNE provides separate accreditation for specialized degree programs involving nursing practices.

Crown College Application Requirements

Students can apply for online or residential enrollment at Crown College by submitting an online application. Several documents must be attached to each application, including:
  • a high school or college transcript
  • SAT or ACT scores
  • GPA information
  • the Spiritual Life Essay
The essay portion of the application is available on the Admissions section of the Crown College website. Students must submit applications on time to be eligible for enrollment in the fall or spring semesters. Crown has a rolling admissions system, so the deadline for admissions is extended to the first day of classes.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition costs at Crown College are approximately $26,000 per year for both in-state and out-of-state residents. The cost of online and residential programs are the same. Undergraduate and graduate students at Crown can expect to pay about the same amount each year for:

Financial aid is available to every student at Crown through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website. Financial aid ranges from Pell grants to government-subsidized loans. The types of aid available through the FAFSA website can be requested by all students. Financial aid amounts are partly based on a student’s family income. Crown College offers many scholarships and grants to students of all income levels.
