These five nurse educator conferences offer a range of price points and subjects, so any nurse educator can find the perfect conference here.

1. 27th World Congress on Nursing Education & Research

Nurses from around the world will converge in Rome, Italy from April 23-25, 2018. Speakers from Spain, South Africa, the United States and dozens of other countries will share their expertise in sixteen session tracks. Topics include nursing safety, emergency nursing, maternal health and nursing education. Continuing education credits will be available from the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC) as well as international organizations. Attendees are invited to enjoy the culture, history and temperate weather of Rome, including the Vatican, Campo de Fiori, and Galleria Borghese.

2. Nurse Educators Conference

From July 11-13, nurse educators will gather in Vail, Colorado for three days of networking and learning. Sessions will include hands-on technique building, poster presentations, and classic-style lecturing on new programs and evidence in nursing education. Nurse educators and program directors are encouraged to submit presentation proposals to share their expertise with the nursing community. Scenic Vail offers skiing, hiking, and dining in the foothills of the Rockies, offering attendees a beautiful, natural environment for relaxing after long sessions.

3. National Nurse Educator Summit

Every year, Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) presents the National Nurse Educator Summit for aspiring and practicing nurse educators. It’s the best conference for nurse educators who care about certification, expanding their professional practice and promoting excellence for nurses everywhere. Student nurses and current educators can participate in separate tracks, and attendees can earn 9 Continuing Nurse Education credits.

4. Nursing Education Research Conference (NERC)

Nurse educators are driven by a commitment to evidence-based nursing techniques and teaching pedagogy. That’s why the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is sponsoring the 2018 NERC event. Attendees can earn up to 34.75 continuing education hours as they browse poster presentations and attend research sessions. Exhibitors will sell textbooks and equipment and offer information on future conferences and learning opportunities. The event will be held April 19-21 in Washington, D.C., during the beautiful cherry tree blossoming season.

5. State-Based Nurse Educator Conferences

Most states have associations for nurse educators. These groups provide small-scale conferences that offer big rewards with small costs. Flying to Rome or spending several days in Washington, D.C., is out of range for many nurse educators. Local conferences allow nurses to learn more about licensing and regulations in their state of practice, meet future employers and earn continuing education credit hours. These events often cost hundreds of dollars less than regional conferences, making them an excellent value. Nurses are required to earn continuing education credits to maintain their licenses. Conferences for nurse educators provide a fun, motivating opportunity to earn credits while meeting new friends and learning new techniques for nursing education.
