This is great news, as it will meet the demand of the ever-growing need for engineers. Completing an engineering management program requires a large time commitment. 1. The Society of Manufacturing Engineers

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers offers several scholarships to undergraduate students in programs for:
  • manufacturing engineering
  • mechanical engineering
  • industrial engineering
  • engineering technology
Eligible applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and commitment through meeting GPA requirements. They must also have the minimum completed hours of coursework. These stipulations vary by scholarship, as does the amount of the reward.

2. Kelly Services

Among other resources, such as training and internships, Kelly Services offers a Future Engineers Scholarship Program. The purpose of this award is to spread awareness about the potential for success in the engineering field. The award is granted to two students in their second or third years of study. Applicants must show academic performance and commitment. Applicants must also demonstrate depth of knowledge on a chosen topic. The award totals $1500 for each recipient.

3. The National Society of Professional Engineers

The National Society of Professional Engineers aims to assist future engineers at all phases of the academic journey. For high school seniors of ethnic minorities, they offer the Maureen L. & Howard N. Blitman, P.E. Scholarship. For college undergraduates, they offer the Steinman Scholarship to any Junior year student. They offer the Auxiliary Legacy Scholarship to Junior year female students. For graduate students, they offer the Professional Engineers in Government (PEG) Management Fellowship. Eligibility requirements and award amounts vary by scholarship.

4. The American Council of Engineering Companies

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) offers 8 scholarships every year. Each scholarship is available to students at different stages of the education process and with unique career goals. Each scholarship also has its own set of eligibility requirements and award total. These awards are made possible by the ACEC’s College of Fellows.

5. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems

For high school senior future engineers, Northrop Grumman offers their generous Engineering Scholars Program. This award totals $8000 for two students from each of the several communities supporting Northrop Grumman. Eligible applicants will hold a GPA of at least 3.0 and will be enrolled for the following school year in an accredited engineering program. Among these five engineering management scholarships is the potential for a wide variety of future engineers to get a little bit closer to their dream careers. These companies and organizations are dedicated to assisting those who need and deserve it most. They also offer valuable resources and networking opportunities to help all students and new professionals.
