California Baptist University is a private school in Riverside, California that is affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention. The school was founded in 1950 and sits on a suburban campus of 160 acres. The school’s motto is “Live Your Purpose,” and the official colors of California Baptist University are blue and gold. Originally located in El Monte when it was opened in 1950, the school had just 120 students attending. The school would become affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention a few years later and would receive its State of California charter in 1954.
